There are 15 quests to complete in Oaklaville. This guide is here to help players through them.

For those who love charming indie games with delightful hand-drawn art, Toem is a dream come true. The game encourages players to take their time appreciating the environments, and completing quests to uncover the mysteries of the game's world.

Before being able to travel forward in Toem, players will need to complete quests to earn stamps. There are 15 quests to complete in Oaklaville, but only seven are needed to move on to Stanhamn. To get the "Strong As An Oak" Achievement; however, players will need to complete all 15.

There are a few quests in Toem that players will pick up automatically, this being one of them. It will be added to the quest log when first arriving to Oaklaville. The instructions are simple enough: "Get a Good Photo of a DJ."

The DJ can be found in the club. From the Hotel, go right three times and up once. If the bouncer doesn't let you through, put on the Ghost Glasses (received when players go to the Graveyard for the first time) to get by him. Walk up to the DJ (the Moose), and take a picture of him to complete this quest.

Players will automatically pick up this quest when they first get to Oaklaville. The clue for the photo is "Time for Photosynthesis."

From the Hotel, go right twice (there will be a tree with a beehive hanging from a tree here). On the bottom of this area will be a wooden photo op with a flower painted on it. Interact with the frame to step up to the hole and take the camera out. Turn on selfie mode and take a picture of the main character next to the wooden board.

This quest can be picked up from the sad sock puppet sitting on the bench on the side of the Hotel. He'll tell a story about how he went swimming and when he came back home to dry his socks, one was missing.

Players will need to get the Ghost Glasses before they can do this quest. From the Hotel, go left three times to the Graveyard. The skeleton fellow will automatically give players the glasses when they arrive. Equip them and go back to the right twice so to the area with the Mushroom House. (If the house is not yet grown, a sprout will be sticking out of the ground from where it will eventually grow.) Talk with the Ghost standing by the picnic table with the flower pots, and he'll offer to play a game of "Socks in a Cup."

Agree to play, and the flower pots will slowly begin to shuffle. One has a pair of Wet Socks underneath it. When the pots stop, choose the one with the Wet Socks to receive the socks as a prize. Take the socks back to the puppet to complete the quest. Because he now has two Wet Socks, he'll give the player one to keep as a reward.

Players pick up this Quest from the kid standing in the lobby of the Hotel. He'll tell players all about "Monsters," and request help taking pictures of four of them in different cities. The Monsters don't like to be seen and will only come out when the main character is not visible, so the tripod will be needed for all of these. (Players receive this item after completing the first Photo Challenge). When the tripod is out, the camera view will be from the tripod itself, allowing the character to remain hidden while taking pictures.

From the Hotel, go right twice to where the beehive is. Bushy will be hiding in the trees on the right (he'll be the shadowy figure). Place the tripod in the middle of the area and hide behind the wooden board with the flower painted on it. When hidden, Bushy will come out. Equip the camera and take their picture.

This is in essence the Lochness Monster, and is located in the area with the Shy Hippo and Photo Challenge Scout #3 (from the Bus Stop, go left twice). Place the Tripod next to the hippo and go down to the sand area, out of sight. Open the camera, and when Lochy comes out of the water, take her picture.

Sewy is located in the area with the skaters (from the Newspaper Building, go left once). She will pop out from the sewer cap on the lower level, so place the tripod anywhere within sight of it. Hide behind a wall and equip the camera. When she appears, take her picture.

Tally is located in the windy area of Kiiruberg. From the balloon family's house, go up once and then right twice. Players will need the Honk attachment to break the ice blocks to get through. (This item is given to the player when the quest 'Solve the Chaos' in Stanhamn is completed).

In the open area, place the tripod by the cliff and break the boulder behind the ledge with the Honk attachment, allowing the player to hide. Equip the camera, and when Tally appears, take their picture.

Take all four photos back to the boy in the Hotel in Oaklaville and show them to him. This will complete the quest, and he'll give players the Monster Mask as a reward.

This quest can be picked up in the area with the ants, and needs to be completed to gain access to certain areas. From the Hotel, go right once and then up once. Go up the stairs at the top of the area, and there will be a porcupine-like creature sitting on a rock next to a downed log. Talk with the critter to get the quest to move the log.

Before the player can move it, they'll need to find the animal's brothers, who all look just like him. When found, take out the camera and stare at them until the circle fills, after which they'll scurry away to where the log is located.

When they're all back at the Log, speak with the original brother, and they'll move the log out of the way. Talk with the brother one more time to complete the quest.

Pick up this quest from the front desk attendant inside the Hotel. He'll be asleep when first arriving, so to wake him up, ring the bell. Talk with him, and he'll ask for help with some new marketing material for the Hotel in the form of capturing the "Hotel's Beauty" with the camera. From the Hotel, go right once then up twice. The log will need to be moved out of the way to get there in the quest "Log Blocking a Path."

On the left side is a sign with a camera, indicating a "sightseeing" location. Take the camera out and pan around until the top of the Hotel is visible. Take a picture and bring it to the front desk attendant at the hotel.

Start this Photo Challenge at the Scout located in the area with the ants. From the Hotel, go right once and then up once. When the challenge is accepted, players need to take a picture of three items: a Mossy Rock, a Pine Tree, and an Axe. Take a photo of each item and take them back to the Scout to complete the quest.

This challenge starts with the Scout standing just left of the Hotel. Once the Challenge is accepted, players will be given the clue to take a picture of "A Tiny Army of Soldiers," which hints at Ants. From the Hotel, go right once and then up once.

Just below the stairs will be ants crawling around on the ground. Take a picture of them and bring the photo back to the Scout.

From the Hotel, go left twice to reach the area where this quest will start. There will be a ladder and a small boy standing just next to it. Talk with the boy, and he'll give players the task to find all of his friends in the field just behind the ladder. There are four total:

Using the camera, look at each of them until a small circle in the middle of the screen fills. When it does, they'll be considered "found." After finding all four, talk with the boy again to complete the Quest.

This quest starts in Oaklaville and has parts to complete in Oaklaville, Stanhamn, and Logcity. To begin, get the Ghost Glasses as described above. Put them on and go inside the tall house. There will be a ghost sitting on the couch on the bottom floor. He'll spill his woes about how he doesn't want to do chores anymore in the afterlife since he already did his share while still living.

The areas mentioned above each have two other Ghosts roaming around that have quests. (The Ghost Glasses need to be equipped for players to see them). Complete all the Ghost-related quests and return to the original Ghost in the house to complete "Ghost Helper!"

As these two quests take place in Oaklaville, they count towards the total number of quests completed in this city. Read on to the next two entries for instructions on completing these quests, Cup Champion and A Courageous Stallion.

Players will need the Honk attachment for the first Ghost. The second Ghost will require the power to be restored (this is part of the requirements for the quest 'Power Shortage?!' in Stanhamn).

With the Ghost Glasses on, players will see a Ghost appear on the left side of the tall house. Speak with the Ghost, and they'll ask for help remembering what they used to look like when they were alive.

Go back to the Hotel. Look at the wall behind the boy standing in the lobby (the one who gives starts the Monster Spotting Quest). On the wall just next to him is a portrait of a horse. Take a picture of the portrait (make sure to save it to the album) and return to the Graveyard. Show the Ghost the picture to complete the Quest.

Talk with the Ghost standing by the picnic table, from the quest "Missing Socks." Agree to play "Socks in a Cup" and win the socks to complete the above quest.

After the game, talk with the Ghost again and the game will change to "Rocks in a Cup." Play through the remaining rounds, each progressively getting faster than the last. When the last round is won, this quest will be completed.

Pick up this quest from the Scout Leader at the camp. From the Hotel, go right once to reach it. The Scouts are currently trying to finish up their cookbook and need help with taking the final images needed for it with the camera. There are three things the player will need to take pictures of: Block Thistle, Cotton Puff, and Striped Shroom.

Take all three photos back to the Scout Leader. The player will complete the quest, as well as earn the Fjällbjörn Cap as a reward.

This quest can be started in the area with the ants. From the Hotel, go right once to the camp, then up once. There is a trashcan on the right with a telescope sticking out from it. Interact with the telescope, and the player will hear about a Mysterious Character hiding in the area.

To find him, head back to the Hotel, then go left twice to the area with the ladder and open field. The Mysterious Character is standing in front of the trees in the back right corner. Stand on the ladder and take a picture of him. Bring the photo back to the trashcan and show it to the telescope to complete the quest. This quest will need to be completed as part of the 'Military Suspicions' quest in Kiiruberg.

This quest will start in the sightseeing area. From the Hotel, go right once and then up twice. (The quest 'Log Blocking a Path' will need to be completed before the player can reach this area.) At the bottom of the stairs will be a Chef that appears to be panicking a bit. Talk with him to re-motivate him to return to the Hotel. Head back to the Hotel and the Chef will be inside the lobby. Speak with him again to complete the quest.

Toem is currently available for PS5, Switch, and PC.
